Big Whiskey's Breaks Ground in Davie, FL for Target Opening in Fall 2023

Big Whiskey’s makes progress on its recent 3-store deal with partner Whiskey Florida LLC.

July 27, 2023, Davie, Florida: Big Whiskey’s is excited to announce that they have broken ground in Florida, and their newest location in Davie, FL will be open this fall.

Big Whiskey’s American Restaurant and Bar signed a three-store deal with Whiskey’s Florida LLC, of NOS Development in February of 2022, and the South Florida locations are finally coming to life! This fall, Davie residents can enjoy Boom Boom Shrimp Tacos and sip on a classic Big Whiskey’s Smoked Old-Fashioned, right in their backyard.

Steve Swanson of NOS Development said of the deal, “We can’t wait for guests to come in and try the food and have a drink at Big Whiskey’s signature bar. This is going to become a mainstay of the Davie community.” Swanson and his team at NOS Development are restaurant veterans owning & operating several other concepts in the area, including an IHOP franchise with eight locations.

Located at 4599 S University Drive, the 6,300 sq ft space is being renovated to better fit the Big Whiskey’s brand. The location will feature a large private dining space, a large open floor plan with about 230 seats and a bar area, and outdoor seating.

Leadership at the Davie, FL location has started scheduling staff training, which will be led by managers from Big Whiskey’s headquarters in Ozark, MO. The store will employ approximately 60 people, some of whom have already been hired.
